A Letter from GKC-PRSA

Fellow Kansas City PR/Communication professionals,
For those of you who do not know me, which I presume is quite a few of you, I’m one of the newest board members of Greater Kansas City PRSA. I serve as the New Pros chair and I couldn’t be more excited to be aboard!
As a new pro myself – I’m approaching two years in the corporate communications department at Ferrellgas – I look forward to connecting with many of you through events, social media, email, etc. Which leads me to my opening point. Please, don’t be shy and connect with me! I welcome LinkedIn invites, conversation, and ideas!
A big shoutout is in order to Mentorship Chair and Past President Norita Taylor for joining me this past Friday for our chapter's virtual event – “Getting back in the game.” It was a great conversation about networking in 2021, media relations, and all things New Pros and Mentorship.
As we look forward to all being together in person in the future, the board encourages all members to extend a hand to not only each other, but to prospective members. There’s no better time to get back in the networking game than now – in small groups and with appropriate health measures in place, of course.
Because before too long, we’ll all be together again soon.
