Five Ways You Can Help the People of Joplin, Mo.

As you know, an F5 tornado hit the city of Joplin, Mo., injuring more than 400 people and killing more than 120.
The weather seems really crazy to me this year. I don't know if it's because I'm getting older or if it really is crazy, but the South, Oklahoma City, Minneapolis, and now Joplin have been crushed this year.
The tornado completely wiped out the entire town and rivals the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The people in Joplin have nothing.
I mean, literally, nothing.
A group has convened at BlogWorld Expo this week to raise $5,000 and we're not even 10 percent to our goal.
We need your help!
Following is what you can do:
- Donate. Make a tax-deductible donation here to the U.S. Red Cross for tornado victims.
- Raise funds. Set up your own fundraising page and rally your circle of influence, peers, friends, and family.
- Tweet. Help us spread the word by tweeting this blog post with the #BWECares hashtag on Twitter.
- Facebook. Share information about the fundraiser by posting this blog post on Facebook.
- Blog. If you blog, create a post similar to this, linking to the #BWECares Red Cross site (here) and ask people to participate in some way.
These cities have been dealt a crushing blow and need our help today. Your dollars will help mobilize immediate relief to the areas affected most by these disasters, bringing life-saving support, aid and help to people in need.
The goal is to raise $5,000 this week, but we won't be finished just because BlogWorld has ended.
Please consider helping any way you can.
For those of you who attended the live blogging of our BlogWorld session yesterday, thank you!
We're back to our regularly scheduled programming tomorrow.
