It's almost PRISM time!

I’ll be honest with you. Okay, so hearing a PR person say that may make the average professional cringe, but so be it. What am I being honest about? Next month’s KC PRISM Awards. Simply put, they’re going to rock. I’ve had the opportunity to get updates on behind-the-scenes planning, and I’m here to tell you Tara Hart, Morgan Johnson and their PRISM team have something pretty incredible in store. I would even go so far as to say this is definitely going to be one of the best events ever.
After hearing about the location at LIVESTRONG Park I went to a few Sporting KC games. While I was there I saw the game on the field, but I kept finding myself looking around wondering how it’s going to be on October 21. If you’ve seen the facility, then you know it’s fantastic. Actually, that’s an understatement. It’s super cool. If you’re getting tickets or a table for your company/organization (and I hope you are), not only are you getting an incredible event but also this year there will be an on location after party.
The best part of the annual event is the recognition. The PR side of corporate, agency or non-profit life can be an area that doesn’t always receive the kudos for a job well done. If you’ve won an award, this event is a great way to show your clients or your senior management that what you’ve done has been recognized as quality work. In the past, when the agency I work for has won awards, we’ve invited clients and it’s been great to share that success with them. It’s also opened doors for us to do more down the road because they know we do quality work.
