What’s in it for you: the top three reasons to join the PRISM Committee

It may seem soon, but YES; we are already thinking about PRISM again! KCPRSA’s biggest event of the year will be here before you know it.
From helping to plan the event, to participating as a PRISM judge; there are a variety of ways to stay involved with PRISM before the event arrives in October. Aaron and I are excited to dive into our new roles as VPs of PRISM and work with an excellent committee throughout the year.
So what’s so great about joining our committee? Well, let us tell you:
1.) Networking – Not only will you receive the opportunity to meet Aaron and I (we are pretty awesome people), you’ll also work with a team of professionals from around our area in a wide array of industries. Yes, volunteering on our committee does take time and as a PR pro, we know schedules can be crazy sometimes, but the relationships you develop while doing so can make a difference.
2.) Resume Builder – Planning an event like PRISM is great experience to place on any resume. Whether you are a seasoned event planner or fresh out of college, the PRISM Committee is an opportunity to brush up your skills, help others develop theirs and pick up fresh ideas for the future.
3.) Fun – We are going to have a great time this year and we can’t wait to celebrate our hard work in October! So join in the fun and be a part of the PRISM Committee.
