Year-End Donations: Kaiser Scholarship Fund – An investment in the future of public relations

As we approach the end of the calendar year, now is a good time to consider a tax-deductible, end-of-year charitable contribution. If you are thinking about making such a gift, please consider the Inez Y. Kaiser GKC-PRSA Memorial Scholarship Fund.

In recognition of hometown pioneer Inez Kaiser’s national legacy, the Greater Kansas City Public Relations Society of America Chapter (GKC-PRSA) has opened all three 2023 scholarships to national candidates. Last year one of the three scholarships was open to national candidates.

“Due to the generous donations to the Inez Y. Kaiser GKC-PRSA Memorial Fund, the Greater Kansas City Public Relations chapter has awarded $15,000 ($2,500 each) to six scholars since 2021,” said Bridget Koan, GKC-PRSA president.

“Since Giving Tuesday in November, we have seen an increase in end-of-year donations to the fund. Thank you to those who have contributed to the Kaiser Fund. The GKC-PRSA board is grateful for every donation because that means we can continue to assist outstanding Black college students studying public relations and communications. Helping students with the financial obligation to their education is an investment in the next generation of public relations professionals and PRSA leaders. Thank you for supporting their dreams.”
