Laura Wynn, founder of the BLT Networking™ system, urges you to “be the bacon”! She will teach us how to make the most of professional networking opportunities using a three-word phrase we all know: Bacon-Lettuce-Tomato. She says when you are networking, it’s important to:

Quickly identify the “Bacon” (immediate business) at events of all types and sizes.

Learn why “Lettuce” are your best contacts for long-term business growth…and how to keep them.

And instantly spot “Tomatoes” while gracefully avoiding these post-event stalkers and networking time suckers.

Before categorizing a new contact into a general, assumptive category, you must be able to identify the difference between every Jim, Jane and Jon you meet. It’s important to differentiate and understand the varying needs that can be fulfilled through networking events, and which ones are the best fit for you. While a shoe salesman with lofty month-end goals may be sniffing out only bacon right now, it’s advantageous for a banker to collect lettuce.

When you consistently practice the BLT formula, categorizing new contacts and leads for future use will be simple. You will be able to immediately classify professionals into one of three areas – Bacon, Lettuce or Tomato – allowing you to more effectively spend your time during and after a networking event.

In short, Laura will demonstrate how to make a good networking sandwich.
