September is Ethics Month for PRSA, and this year’s conversation couldn’t be more timely. As AI agents move from experimental tools to everyday parts of the PR workflow, practitioners are facing new questions about transparency, accountability and disclosure.

Join GKC-PRSA for a virtual session on PRSA’s newest Board of Ethics and Professional Standards (BEPS) Ethical Standards Advisory, ESA #22: AI Agents in Public Relations.

Leading the discussion is Lea-Ann Germinder, Ph.D., APR, Fellow PRSA, a veteran practitioner-scholar, former GKC-PRSA president and newly appointed member of the PRSA Board of Ethics and Professional Standards (BEPS).

Germinder’s doctoral research on responsible AI at the University of Missouri School of Journalism introduced the AELHA™ framework, a resource now shaping how the profession thinks through AI-related ethical decisions. She'll use her AELHA™ framework to walk through what ESA #22 means for practitioners and how to responsibly apply AI into practice day to day as well as provide additional PRSA resources.

Whether you’re actively integrating AI agents into your work or just starting to think through the implications, this session will give you practical guidance grounded in PRSA’s Code of Ethics and its ongoing commitment to public trust. Germinder will also walk attendees through additional PRSA resources practitioners can use to put responsible AI into practice day to day.

Bring your questions for what promises to be a candid and useful discussion!
