See what it takes to do PR for one of the world’s newest and most iconic performing arts centers. You’ll get the opportunity to take a private tour with Kristin Smithson, public relations coordinator of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Kristin will talk about her day-to-day at the Kauffman and what it was like to do PR for a public grand opening that brought more than 50,000 guests. Following the tour, join us for a networking happy hour at Tannin Wine Bar (1526 Walnut). Complimentary appetizers will be provided.

There is select free street parking adjacent to the Kauffman Center, or $5 (cash) to park in the Kauffman Center parking garage (off of 17^th and Broadway)

For those relatively new to the PR industry, just out of college, or are finishing your undergraduate degree, New Pros is the group for you! Geared toward those in their first five years of the profession, New Pros provides valuable professional development programs and networking opportunities in the Greater Kansas City area.

This past year, New Pros has expanded to include current college students and local PRSSA chapters in its programming.
